Overview
The Trends page in Guidewheel helps you analyze machine performance over time. You can view runtime, idle, and offline data as charts or tables, compare across shifts, and download reports for deeper analysis. Admins can also set performance targets to track progress against goals.
Prerequisites
Machines connected and reporting data in Guidewheel
Admin permissions (required to set performance targets)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the Trends page from the navigation menu.
Choose how to display your data using the options in the left column:
Chart view – visual graph of performance
Table view – numerical values for further analysis
Units – select percentages, hours, or minutes
Shifts – view a single shift or multiple shifts at once
Use the toolbar options:
Hide/show columns to focus on specific data
Select groups or machines to customize your analysis
Go back in time up to 90 days (or further if data is available)
Toggle weekends on or off
Download results as a chart (PNG/JPEG) or table (CSV)
In Chart view, review aggregated machine data for runtime, idle time, and offline time.
Click into the chart to see total values and percentages.
Toggle the chart legend to display only the metrics you want (runtime, idle, offline, or trend line).
In Table view, review the numerical breakdown of your machine data.
Download the table for further offline analysis.
(Admins only) Set a target for a given time period:
Enter the desired percentage.
Results will display in green (above target) or red (below target).
Tips & Best Practices
Use Chart view for spotting trends at a glance and Table view for precise values.
Set targets to benchmark performance and motivate improvements.
Toggle off idle or offline data if you want to focus solely on runtime.
Export data regularly for offline reporting or team reviews.
