Overview
The Scoreboard module in Guidewheel displays machine runtime and performance metrics in real time. Depending on your installation setup, the Scoreboard can also show additional metrics such as cycle time, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), or production rate values. This makes it a powerful tool for both shop floor visibility and performance tracking.
Prerequisites
Machines connected and configured in Guidewheel
Metrics (cycle time, OEE, rate) set up during installation if applicable
Display screen or monitor (optional for shop floor setup)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the Scoreboard module from the Guidewheel navigation menu.
Review the displayed runtime information and any additional metrics configured during installation.
Use the view options at the top of the Scoreboard:
Live mode – continuously updates with minute-by-minute runtime data
Shift view – shows performance data for the active shift
Custom time frame – select specific hours or minutes to analyze performance
To use the Scoreboard on the shop floor:
Enable Full screen mode.
This prevents the display from going to sleep and ensures the Scoreboard remains visible 24/7.
Tips & Best Practices
Use Shift view to compare current production performance against expectations for the shift.
Display the Scoreboard on a large screen in full screen mode to keep teams aligned on performance.
Configure additional metrics (cycle time, OEE, rate) during installation to maximize insights.
Use custom time frames to review performance during key production windows.
Troubleshooting
Symptom: The Scoreboard display goes black or turns off on a TV.
Fix: Make sure Full screen mode is enabled to bypass TV sleep settings.
Symptom: Missing cycle time, OEE, or rate data.
Fix: Confirm with your Guidewheel Customer Success Representative whether those metrics were enabled during installation.
