Overview:
The Uptime Page is your real-time dashboard for machine performance. Commonly used by operators, maintenance leads, and plant managers, it shows the current and historical status of each device with intuitive visual cues.

Note: Guidewheel records data once a second, and displayed it to you as an average value over a minute or an hour on the Uptime page

Step-by-Step Overview:

  1. Log into Guidewheel and navigate to the Uptime page from the left menu.

  2. Use the Device List dropdown to select a machine or group of machines.

  3. Each device will have a bar: each bar represents time in red (offline), yellow (idle), or green (running).

  4. The percentage on the right represents the percentage of time within the selected timeframe that was Run-time (green)

  5. Click into a device and review to the line graph for power consumption over time.

    1. Hover over the line graph to see the average Active Power for the given minute/hour that you're viewing

  6. Use Show min and max range button to show a shaded area that displays the range of the minimum and maximum average power for any given second within the minute that is being displayed

  7. View Issues by hovering over the red Triangle icon

  8. Use the timeframe toggle (Last Hour, Last 24h, 7d, 30d) to change the view granularity.

    • Use 'Last Hour' for real-time troubleshooting.

    • Use 'Last 24 Hours' to evaluate daily performance.

    • Use 'Last 7 Days' or 'Last 30 Days' to review trends or recurring downtime.

Note: Last Hour and 24 hour views show data that is averaged every minute. 7 and 30 day views show data that is averaged every hour. This can cause "Issues" or "Tags" to show up in otherwise Green areas when looking at the 7 or 30 day view.

Tips & Best Practices:

  • Use Device Lists to filter views by production line or machine type.

  • Confirm that thresholds are accurately set before drawing conclusions from bar colors.

  • Combine Shift View and Current Shift mode for more actionable insight during daily standups.
