Overview

The Trends page in Guidewheel helps you review performance across devices, shifts, and plants over time. Use it to spot patterns, track progress toward goals, and share results in weekly reviews. You can toggle between chart and table views, adjust units, and set targets to keep your team aligned.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Trends page in your Guidewheel account

  • Properly configured Shifts in Settings → Configurations → Shifts

  • (Optional) Plant-level setup if you want to set and review plant targets

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Trends Page

  • From the main navigation, select Trends.

2. Choose Your View

  • Use the View dropdown to toggle between Table or Chart.

  • Adjust the Unit (percentages, hours, or minutes).

  • Select the Metric you want to track, such as Runtime, Idle, or Offline.

3. Select a Date Range

  • Use the date picker to select preset ranges (last 7 days, last 14 days, etc.) or choose a custom range.

  • Toggle Exclude weekends to remove non-operating days from your view.

4. Focus on the Right Data

  • Use filters to display specific devices or shifts.

  • Hide columns to remove specific days or devices. Use Reset columns anytime to bring them back.

5. Track Performance by Plant

  • To view plant-level performance, select your plant from the dropdown in the top right.

  • Set a Plant Runtime Target in the bottom right of the table to compare actual performance against your goal.

6. Review Past Performance

  • Look back at high-performing days, shifts, or devices to identify what worked well.

  • Use the chart view for visual trendlines that show progress or recurring issues.

7. Use Trends in Meetings

  • In weekly management meetings, bring the Trends page up to:

    • Show progress toward targets

    • Highlight improvements or recurring challenges

    • Align your team on next steps

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use percentages for apples-to-apples comparisons across devices or plants.

  • Exclude weekends for a cleaner view of production trends.

  • Hide outlier days (such as full outages) to see typical performance more clearly.

  • Compare plant vs. device performance to identify where improvements have the most impact.
