Overview

The Uptime page in Guidewheel shows the real-time runtime of your connected machines. It provides visibility into when machines are running, idle, or offline, and allows you to analyze load curves, shifts, and historical data. This guide explains how to navigate and use the Uptime page effectively.

Prerequisites

  • Machines connected and set up in Guidewheel

  • Thresholds for Run, Idle, and Offline time configured by your team

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Uptime page from the top left corner of the Guidewheel app.

  2. Review the list of connected machines.

  3. Click a machine to view its load curve.

    • Green = Runtime

    • Yellow = Idle time

    • Red = Offline

  4. To zoom into a specific time window:

    • Click, drag, and release across the section of the load curve you want to review.

    • This helps identify moments of high power consumption or unexpected downtime.

  5. Use the view options above the chart:

    • Live mode – updates minute by minute with real-time runtime calculations.

    • Shift view – shows runtime data for your current shift (requires shifts to be set up).

    • Historical view – review data from past days or shifts by selecting from the dropdown.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use the zoom tool to investigate anomalies, such as unexpected downtime or spikes in power usage.

  • Compare multiple shifts to identify recurring patterns or issues.

  • Supervisors and operators can use these insights for performance reviews and process improvements.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: No data appears for a machine.

    • Fix: Confirm the machine is connected to Guidewheel and properly configured.

  • Symptom: Colors do not display correctly (no green/yellow/red).

    • Fix: Verify that thresholds for runtime, idle, and offline states have been set.
