The Uptime widget shows machine activity for selected devices. It provides a clear visual of when machines were running, idle, offline, or in setup.

Why it matters

Even small improvements in uptime can drive major gains in throughput. For example, a 5% increase in uptime can translate into hundreds of additional production hours annually, helping you hit output goals without new equipment.

How It Works

  • Select one or more devices.

  • Displays a bar graph with color-coded segments:

    • Green = Running

    • Red = Downtime

    • Yellow = Idle

    • Purple = Setup

  • Includes uptime percentage and timestamps for each machine.

How to apply

  • Review uptime across shifts in daily standups with operators.

  • Compare similar machines to spot performance differences.

  • Share weekly uptime reports with leadership to track progress toward targets.

Tips and pitfalls

  • Start with a small group of critical machines for detailed monitoring.

  • Pair with the Downtime widget to uncover root causes.

  • Avoid relying only on averages—dig into shift-level data for real insights.
