Creating a custom Scoreboard view in Guidewheel allows you to track the performance of the machines or departments that matter most to you.

Here's a step-by-step guide to setting one up.

1. Open Scoreboard View Settings

  • Click the gear icon in the Scoreboard section or go to Settings > Scoreboard Views.

  • Select "Create New View" to begin setting up your custom view.

2. Choose What to Display

You have two main options for how to build your view:

  • Individual Machines: Manually select one or more specific machines from your plant.

  • Device Lists: Use pre-created groups of machines—such as a full line, department, or location (e.g., Injection Molding, Ohio Plant)—for a roll-up view.

  • Segments: Group together different device lists to get a comprehensive view of your ecosystem (best for multi-plant setups)

3. Name Your Scoreboard View

Give your view a clear, descriptive name (e.g., Tonya’s Plant or North Presses) so it’s easy to find later.

4. Select Machines or Device List

  • If you’re using Individual Machines, scroll through and check the ones you want to include.

  • If using a Device List, select the list from your existing groups. You can create or manage device lists separately under the Devices section.

5. Choose Metrics to Display

Select which key performance indicators (KPIs) to show on the tiles:

  • Runtime

  • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

  • Cycle Time

  • Speed

  • Temperature (only if applicable sensors are installed)

You can choose one or multiple metrics depending on what insights you want to surface.

Note: If you don't see a metric that's important to you, reach out to our support team to help configure your account.

6. Set a Default Time Range

Pick the default time window your scoreboard will display.

This setting determines what data your team sees when they first load the view.

7. Customize Threshold Colors (Optional)

Guidewheel uses color coding (green, yellow, red) to make performance easy to interpret:

  • Adjust the thresholds for each color to reflect what “good,” “okay,” and “needs attention” means for your operation.

    • Example: Set green to OEE ≥ 85%, yellow for 70–84%, red for <70%.

  • You can tweak these at any time based on evolving production goals.

8. Save Your View

Click Save, and your new Scoreboard view will appear in the list.

  • You can now access it any time from the Scoreboard menu.

  • Use the search bar to quickly locate it by name.
