How to decide who should receive Alerts

Alerts can notify the right people on your team of issues with your machines so they take action to address them before they impact production.

This article will help you determine which team members should receive alerts.


Who should set up your alerts?

Alerts should be received by a teammate who will address the issue and can escalate up the chain of command if the problem remains unresolved.

Escalation path

Typically, the first person to get notified is usually someone who operates the machine and can troubleshoot the problem (e.g. operator, technician).

The next person to get notified is usually someone who would be notified if the issue is still unresolved within a specified timeframe and can offer more assistance in getting the machine running (e.g. supervisor, lead, maintenance).

The next person to get notified is usually someone who would be notified if the issue is still unresolved and can offer further assistance in getting the machine running (e.g. plant manager).

Note: Users can receive notifications via WhatsApp instead of SMS. To set this up, contact your Customer Success Manager.
