This article shows roles and permissions in Guidewheel. In here you'll learn who has access to edit or view.

Multiplant visibility

  • Visibility is set at the user level. Admins are not limited to any Device Lists. However, the rest of the user roles (Manager, Engineer, and Recipient) can be limited to specific Device Lists. This limits the user’s visibility to specific plants, departments, etc.

User

Only Admins can create, edit, and delete users.

Thresholds

Only Admins can change thresholds via Settings. Currently, Managers and Engineers can change thresholds by going to Trends/Table/click on Edit Target. We’re in the process of limiting this access.

Device groups and Device lists

Only Admins can create and edit Device Groups and Device Lists.

Email Report

Admins and Managers can create, edit, and delete Email Reports.

Shifts

Admins and Managers can create, edit, and enable/disable Shifts.

Exporting Data

Admins and Managers can export production entries, uptime data, trends, issues, diagnostics and energy calculations.

Admins can edit production settings

Staff

Admins and Managers can add, edit and delete Staff.

Cycle time settings

Admins can edit cycle time settings.
